Ruined

Warm sunlight slowly poured into the room through the large glass windows, making the white curtains sway gently. The soft sound of waves crashing against the yacht echoed in the background. Sera’s eyes fluttered open slowly. Her head felt heavy. Her body was warm, yet something didn’t feel right.

The ceiling above her was unfamiliar. The bed she was lying on wasn’t hers. The soft sheets, the clean white pillows, the elegant room—it was all different. Confusing. Her eyebrows knitted as she tried to remember where she was, but her mind was hazy, blank, like a dream fading too fast.
